Whats a update?

ok ok so everyone is complaining that I don’t update the hanging monkey site so here it is… an update!

We are great thats for reading bye!

Ok so a little mor einformation, well we are both very well.  As always we have been busy with real life over here, we are both working a lot in the bar and other jobs.  Sarah has prob been through about 20 jobs since I last posted, she is moving to another when her contract comes through in a few days.  Me… I’m busy with loads of web sites.

We are taking a holiday soon to Tenerife, we are going to the North of the Island and staying in a nice 4 star hotel.  This is our first holiday in about 4 years so we are both looking forward to it and in need of it.

I’m busy with getting my Lanzarote sites even better than they are… is that possible I hear you say.. we sadly yes it is

I’ve been adding in the options so that you will be able to book your apartments through my sites, for example if you visit Puerto del Carmen Apartments section on PDC Review you can read reviews and book the apartment direct with Alpharooms which I’ve found to be one of the best priced places online.

Other than the above we are just getting along as normal, sarah still bosses me about.. a lot … me like the mug I am always takes it

Busy few days

Between me and Sarah we have has a busy few days, as you know Sarah has quite a job.. blinked and got another and I’ve been busy with my websites.

I was contacted a week ago (or so) by a company asking if I wanted to advertise a FREE Travel Brochure on my Lanzarote site.  Between us we have had a look through and if you fill in the information they send you a free brochure, simple as that (I also get money for it )

I’m also advertising another compnay on the site in which I’m getting paid monthly and hoping to get more.  Although this all sounds good it’s not a lot and when you consider I’ve been running most of my sites for over 2 years, I’m not really making that much

Job change for Sarah…..again

Well would you believe it because i know I can’t.

Sarah started working at Sunterra a little while ago for the second time of our life in lanzarote, Sunday gone, she actually quite this job and today she has already managed to get another one….

The sunterra job she was doing was basically just not for her, she was not happy and getting stressed (which means I got it in the neck!! )

Her new job which she got this morning is working for Blue Delfin which has changed it’s image to Ocean Cat offers a trip on a Catamaran but actually leaves from the harbour in Puerto del Carmen.

I’ll be posting a lot more information on this new excursions on my Lanzarote Excursions page when the company actually starts.

Open 24/7 kinda

Well, another day is upon us and I actually have some more news.  Since both me and Sarah are working our little butts off we have hired a part timer in the bar to cover 3 nights a week for us.

Starting.. err last week we now have a nice lady working Monday, Tuesday and Saturday for us.  The idea behind this is:

We are both working through the day, Sarah at her new Sunterra job and me on the Websites.  Because of this we are not actually seeing each other again (yay!…. just kidding!) so we hired someone to look after the bar 3 nights a week giving us a bit of time together.

This also means that we are now open 7 nights a week again.

Maybe I will update more than once a month in future, I should really do this more often but I’m trying to look after around 15 websites at the moment and it is becoming hard to keep up with everything

Changes again..

Well if you read the post below this one you can just forget it!!

Things have changed yet again, Sarah who was out of work for a whole 2 weeks applied for a job back at Sunterra, before she got to an interview she was offered the job, so me being retired from the bar is now back working!

We have been in discussion and we now have our first member of staff.  Carrie who lives on our complex is now going to do 3 nights a week for us in order for us to carry on doing other things, me web work and Sarah Sunterra.

No doubt the next time I update there will be even more change

A few changes…

Hi all and as always sorry for the lack of updates.

There has been a lot going on with us both so neither of us have has a lot of time.  The main change is me…Jon-Paul has retired from the bar.  Yes you read right I’m retired hehe

Well kinda, I’ve actually got a lot of web work on and have had for a while now.  The problem was not enough time inbetween the bar, cash and carry etc to get it all done.

Sarah, who ‘was’ working for PAL quit.

What this means is that Sarah is now running the bar just about every night, obviously I’m giving her a night off, but it means I have most nights to keep up to date with my sites.

I’m busy creating sites for other bars and some for a real estate company in Puerto del Carmen.  My sites are also doing very well at the moment and both have shiny new sections for holiday rentals.

All in all we are great, bar is doing better (now that Sarah is there full time) I’m doing well with my sites and the weather is always better than the UK…. what more could we want?

Busy Jan

Well it’s the end of Jan 2007 and this is around the first time I’ve had a chance to update this page.

We have been busy this month, not just working the bar all the time but both me and Sarah have had family over.  Sarah’s mummy and daddy were here for 3.. yes 3 weeks!! (Hi John and Anne!) and my sister was over with her hubby and my ickle nephew.

Although it’s been busy we did have a nice time with everyone, so thanks to you all for coming out and seeing us.

I’m forever busy with my sites (shamless plug http://www.lanzarotetourist.com/ ) and Sarah is working for another company, Pal, she is back in the welcome meetings and enjoying it which is nice as it does mean she is happier in the house (thank the lord!).

The cat is doing well although he can be a pain in the butt.  All in all we are still happy most of the time.  I’m sure one day I will find something really good to post, but until then you will have to put up with rubbish posts like this!

We hope everyone had a good day and santa was kind to everyone, we had a great day and enjoyed it a lot.  I managed to snap some footage of us eating dinner with Duncan, Suz, Jen, Matrin and of course Sarah (with my new camera!).

ok I’ve managed to get wordpress setup to accept short clips that I place on Youtube (not that easy either).  Over xmas I will be in the bar recording people having fun, getting drunk and no doubt making fools of them selfs.. then I’m going to put the video on here so everyone can have a laugh!  For now enjoy our cat storm walking around.. really interesting eh…
